Flow -- Robbin Deyo (click to enlarge)

Here’s a stunningly fresh take on visual art. Robbin Deyo, born in B.C. but now based in Montreal, specializes in large installations that fill a wall or a whole room. By turns whimsical and mystifying, her painstaking installations involve insane amounts of repetitive painting, drawing or casting and mounting — a true mark of the obsessed artist. Often, like these pictures of her work Flow, the room doesn’t just contain the art, it is the art.

Her website bluerobbin.com is well worth a look, both for its images of the art and as a fine example of a professional-looking working artist’s site.

Robbin has a West Coast connection: She did her MFA at Concordia University same time as PRAS stalwart Dolores Baswick.
