Woodworker - Tiny Home Builder - Photographer Born in Edmonton and raised in Orange County, California. Between football, surfing and private school I developed an interest in restoring vintage items. It began at eleven with an old wooden office chair on coasters, then beach cruiser bicycles, automobiles and evolved into Vintage Properties. Bounced between Mexico, California, Belize, Texas and Louisiana in the 80's, finding Boulder, Colorado in 1990. There I had the opportunity to experiment with alternative building techniques and off the grid systems. My first was a five hundred square foot, Straw Bail with bootle glass windows. There I also developed an interest in what is now known as Up Cycled furniture and photography. In 2000 I sold the farm and Business in Boulder and took what was supposed to be a one year Endless Summer Surf trip that ended up taking two. Through my travels I learned about other cultures, lifestyles and building techniques. Upon returning I purchased and restored three vintage homes in West Palm Beach, Florida. Because of the political climate in the U.S. at the time I decided it was probably a good time to get out of dodge. I returned to Canada in 2004 and purchase a 1930's home in the Comox Valley. A year later the school district made available a 1916 Schoolhouse that I lovingly restored and opened to the public. Over the past eleven years I have enjoyed creating Driftwood and Up Cycled furniture, Tiny homes, Green houses, Studios and Photography. Have recently relocated to the Tofino area and looking forward to a new adventure. *images are copyrighted and may not be reproduced without the written permission of the artist.
