ArtSplash! 2011

           Welcome to the Spring Community Arts Show!

This year’s Pacific Rim Arts Society’s ArtSplash will be displayed in the lobby and mezzanine of the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort at 596 Marine Drive in Ucluelet.

              The show will run from March 19-27 from 10am -10 pm daily. Local artists will be exhibiting art from all different mediums from jewellery and carving to much much more!

Here are some details:  

So you want to be a WestCoast art star? Then sign up for this show, and more public exposure than you’re likely to get all year. It runs concurrently with the Pacific Rim Whale Festival , the coast’s largest festival, in a great waterfront venue. HOWEVER, space is limited so get your stuff in right away!

The following information should help you get where you need to go.

• Three pieces of work per artist. If your work is over 30 x 30 inches then two is the limit. No exceptions!
• Entry fee is $10 for each piece  – but this year only, that will include your PRAS membership fee (a $10 savings for you).
• Only local artists from the west coast of the island will be accepted (Tofino, Ucluelet and surrounding communities).
• Entry forms can be found in Tofino at Mermaid Tales Bookshop and the Studio House (Main & 4th), and in Ucluelet at Wild Heather Books. Or download a copy you can print by The deadline for us receiving entries is Thursday, March. 10,  6 p.m.
  Note that due to space restrictions we must close the list after 35 entries have been received, even if more come in before the deadline. A waiting list will be maintained, but enter early! Also, the correct mailing address is PRAS, Box 468, Ucluelet, V0R 3A0.
  
• Art drop-off is on Monday, Mar. 14, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Lobby at Black Rock Resort.  No work will be accepted after this time.
• Show hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and we need volunteers to help monitor the show. If you can sit for a half-day let us know when you drop off your art.
• Art pick-up date is Monday Mar. 28  between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Please note that neither PRAS or the Black Rock Resort  will be responsible for your work after 2 p.m.
