Fred Montpetit lives and works in Ucluelet. Fred loves to experience art. Art has always been his way to find quiet, peace and inspiration in the chaos of the world. Since moving to Vancouver Island in 2015, the Island’s lush green forests, deep blue waters, and vibrant coloured gardens have inspired his passion to create.
Fred has been painting since 2021. He is a self-taught artist. His influences are both expressionists and impressionists. He relishes bright energetic colours and cheerful palettes. He throws paint because he doesn’t know how to draw.
